Notes and reviews

The novel contains an unusual structure: narrative chapters are alternated with chapters identified as 'Extracts from the diary of Sir Eustace, M.P.' and 'Anne's Narrative Resumed'. Although Sir Eustace Pedler uses several phrases that are similar to Agatha Christie's real life friend, Major Belcher, she always said that the character was not modelled on him.

Murder methods:

One Electrocution.
One Stabbing.
One Fall / Pushed.
