Publishing: First published in 1964 by William Collins Sons & Co. in London, and in 1965 by Dodd, Mead & Co. in New York. TV: The novel was adapted for television in the U.S. in 1983 by Warner Brothers Studios, and starred Helen Hayes as Jane Marple, and again in 1989 by the BBC, starring Joan Hickson as Jane Marple, which was also shown on PBS in the U.S.

Notes and reviews

It is here that Miss Marple meets the wealthy Mr Rafiel, who will call upon the detective for help from the grave in 'Nemesis'. The location is probably based on a trip which Agatha Christie made to the West Indies in the late fifties.
