"Would you like to see a picture of a murderer?" Jane Marple is asked by a stranger whilst on an exotic holiday in the Caribbean. TV: The novel was adapted for television in the U.S. in 1983 by Warner Brothers Studios, and starred Helen Hayes as Jane Marple, and again in 1989 by the BBC, starring Joan Hickson as Jane Marple, which was also shown on PBS in the U.S.

Notes and reviews

It is here that Miss Marple meets the wealthy Mr Rafiel, who will call upon the detective for help from the grave in 'Nemesis'. The location is probably based on a trip which Agatha Christie made to the West Indies in the late fifties.
