LIBRARIES

Ideas for Christie fans!

Are you a Library that loves Christie? Why Don't you?...

· Use one of Christie’s classic mysteries as the focus of a reading group for the month of September.
· Create a central display of Christie books, audiotapes, CDs and DVDs. How about a two-for-one rental offer on your Christie audiovisual titles?
· Engage a local expert on crime or crime writing to speak at your library on the history and development of crime fiction.
· Run a murder mystery evening
· Host an Agatha Christie quiz night
· Conduct an Agatha Christie discussion group in order to spark a debate
· Hold a period fancy dress competition. Who is the best-dressed Miss Marple, Poirot, Tommy or Tuppence in town?
· Stage a reading of one of Agatha Christie’s theatrical plays with library staff or perhaps the local amateur dramatics society.

These are just a few ideas to whet your criminal appetite. We’re sure you can think of many more.
